Join us in The Nest for a live recording of ResDance with special guest Kate Prince. 

Now in its fourth year, ResDance is a podcast which celebrates the depth and breadth of dance research in the UK and further afield. 

Originally started as a means of providing students with a wealth of research conversations, it now boasts 90 episodes over 8 series, an international audience in more than 60 countries worldwide, and series 9 currently in the pipeline.

Hosted by Dr Gemma Harman, supported behind the scenes by Callum Anderson, a dance researcher and arts marketer.

Gemma is an independent lecturer and researcher working at a number of universities and drama schools, and is currently Senior Lecturer in Dance and MA Programme Co-ordinator at the University of Chichester. Gemma’s work on ResDance earned her a One Dance UK Award for Dance Research in 2025.

Gemma will be joined by Kate Prince.  

Kate is a writer, director and choreographer and the Artistic Director of ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company which she founded in 2002. She is an Associate Artist at both The Old Vic and Sadler’s Wells, where ZooNation is also a Resident Company.

Kate’s work has been nominated for five Olivier Awards, a South Bank Sky Arts Award, a WhatsOnStage Award and three Critic’s Circle National Dance Awards - winning the latter in 2024 for best Mid Scale Dance Company. She has an MA from the University of Edinburgh, an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Winchester and an MBE for services to dance.
