Life in a Green Suit
Written & performed by Elizabeth McNally
About Life in a Green Suit
Elizabeth is thrilled to bring her writing home to Chichester in her one woman show, Life in a Green Suit.
Although she includes some personal memories and experiences of her time in the military as an army officer, wife and mother, Elizabeth is keen to point out that this is not an autobiographical account of her life.
Poignant and, at times, amusing, this is a beautiful heart-warming solo performance set at a military funeral where a woman reflects on her life, both as a serving officer and military wife, and the impact that lifestyle has had on her marriage and her children.
Using music, poetry, storytelling, and performance, the play premiered at the Etcetera Theatre, London for Armed Forces Day 2023 before a sell-out audience.
Elizabeth hopes that this show speaks for all those in the military, in both serving and supporting roles, regardless of rank, regiment or status. And also for the children, whose role in the military can often be overlooked.
