KAREN
About KAREN
After sell-out runs at both The Other Palace and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, critically acclaimed hit show KAREN comes to The Nest.
KAREN invites you into the uproarious world of our Protagonist. Seamlessly breaking the fourth wall, she’ll whisk you through a chaos-filled narrative, that has been described as “Fleabag meets Peep Show” (Operation Live Theatre) and “A modern day Bridget Jones” (A Youngish Perspective).
Life takes an unexpected turn when our Protagonist is unceremoniously dumped by her long-term boyfriend, Joe, at the Alton Towers, on her 30th birthday! Little does she know, this is just the beginning.
Trapped in office hell, Joe starts dating her arch-nemesis Karen triggering heartbreak, societal pressures, and an identity crisis that threatens to consume her. Through laughter, tears, and sharp sarcasm, she learns that healing comes from facing pain head-on and that true peace lies in owning her emotions.
An hour of top comedy with a protagonist to adore
