About Comedy at The Nest with Laura Lexx

Join us for Comedy at The Nest!

Headlining the show is the brilliant comedian, writer and actor Laura Lexx. After appearing on Live at The Apollo (BBC) Laura received an unprecedented reaction from audiences and has since appeared on Mock The Week (BBC), Hypothetical (Dave), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Pointless Celebrities (BBC) and Celebrity Mastermind (BBC) to name a few. Laura’s highly successful debut tour, Slinky won the Best Show award at the 2024 Women in Comedy Festival. She is the published author of fan fiction Klopp Actually and her debut novel Pivot, and is also the creator of multiple podcast formats, including Lexx Education.

Opening the show is the hilarious David Ward, a regular MC and headliner in stand-up comedy clubs across the UK and Europe. He has supported a number of major TV stand-up comedians on tour, including Lee Hurst and Tom Stade. His spontaneity made him the choice host for the heats of the BBC’s New Comedy Awards and Channel 5’s So You Think You’re Funny?

Joining them is winner of the Loaded Laftas Rising Star Award, Jason Patterson. Jason has performed at comedy clubs all over the UK and his strong, live performances led to him being nominated for Best Newcomer at the Black Entertainment Comedy Awards. Internationally, he has performed across North America, Europe and the Middle East and has had TV appearances on BBC Three and MTV.

All hosted by the hysterical Matthew McAloone.
